Items you will need:
- A paper plate
- A towel
- A container of water
- A pair of scissors
- A person to assist you
- Cotton swabs
- Cotton balls
Make an opening in the plate large enough for the ear candle to fit through. Place the small end of the candle through the plate, making sure the opening of the candle is not bent or pressed shut. Light the large end of the candle and set it gently into the ear. If smoke is leaking out of the ear and onto the cheek, adjust the candle until it is properly seated and no smoke is leaking out.
As the candle burns, the person helping you can trim the candle and discard the burnt part in the bowl of water. Allow the candle to burn about 4”above the plate, putting it into the container of water to extinguish.
Once you have used the ear candle, use the cotton swabs to clean the outer part of the ear of any residue. Place 3 or 4 drops of ear oil on a cotton ball and set in the ear for 30 minutes. This will help with the process and sooth any itching.
Federal law prohibits the use of this product as a medical device. The user assumes full responsibility for use of the candles. Do not use on a perforated eardrum or if there are tubes in the ear. Manufacturer or sellers are not held liable for any claims, costs or damages resulting from use.
